hahah I "know" how to golf.. but that's basically it :P Haven't really had time to actually practice...

As for my other hobbies... went to my second paintball game last saturday!! woohoo!! hahaha kahit na I may bruise easily, it's still loads of fun ^^ I actually got to hit 2-3 people. One of the best parts was when I was behind this bunker made up of tree logs and branches. Whenever I stick my head up, there's this guy who keeps trying to hit me, so I couldn't get a good aim at him. After a while, I noticed that there was a hole in the bunker.. peeked through it and saw the guy. I got to snipe at him through that hole.. hehehe parang CS in a way.. pero you can't jump around :P Then there was another part where I had to get over this knee high concrete tube. I couldn't climb over it because it'd take too long and there was this other guy shooting at us.. so, I just rolled over.. talk about adrenaline rush :)

anyway.. yeah, that's it for now. It's almost the end of June na. So, to the DLSU, people, congrats on your grad!

Hey guys... congrats on your graduation :) Hope you guys take lots of pictures for your grad!! Grabe.. I still have roughly 2 more semesters to go.. :| As for being busy.. yeah.. I haven't even been able to congratulate the ateneans who just graduated (so, congrats guys!! :P)..Trying to organize a golf tournament over here.. grabe.. no matter where you go.. bureaucracy is always there (I had to put that through the spell checker.. after all these years, I still can't get that word right :S). It took the school a while to approve the whole project.. we got set back by 3 weeks!!! anyway, the tournament is on July 9th.. so.. yeah. hahaha hope it doesn't rain :P

Oh yeah, hubes.. I've started to spend waay too much time here in school na. I realized this when 2 people approached me (on separate occasions) and asked me, "Do you ever go home?" :S hahaha I guess, even after high school, I still "loooove" school. diba?

Sige, ingat, and hope everything's okay.

Hey Ambo, for me the internet is revolutionary since it provided new ways to spread information. Before sending information was harder, fax, mail, you know what I mean. That's basically what the internet has done, at least in my perspective. Information is spread easier.

Internet: Revolutionary, or Evolutionary?
I've been taking these MIS courses for the past two semesters and I need to get some things straight. Last semester during my Information Systems in Org. and Society.. I've been left with the impression that the Internet is a totally revolutionary technology that has radically changed the way people live their lives, do business, etc. Now, in my Management Issues in Info Systems class.. it seems that the Internet or communications technology isn't alwas the solution to business problems, and that some businesses, probably shouldn't waste their time and resources on IT. In a sense, this all makes sense.. Technology is definitely not a magic bullet solution.. and yet, I wonder.. if the internet is revolutionary, shouldn't it then make a big difference on all aspects of a business? or is this just faulty logic? Just because it can radically change the lives of people, doesn't mean that it can play a significant contribution to a management or business environment. Would that make sense? I know that IT has played a big role.. we register for our courses online instead of showing up in person. We can process bank payments over the Internet, allowing us to expand our buynig options. E-bay, is a phenomenon that probably would never have happened without the Internet. And yet.. there are companies out there, that even if they have their own website, or may have an innovative e-solution, or a good CIO, they still may not make it due to factors other than IT. Maybe IT and IS are just like aspirin, they were the breakthrough drugs in relieving headaches, but they're far from solving ALL physiological problems. They can make life simple.. but the actual factor is dependent on the use, (or in some cases, the 'un-use') of it. Technology can help an organization, as long as its introduction and application align with the original business vision. But then.. doesn't IT have the potential to create new business visions? As with the e-bay example, IT/IS was the fundamental support block to the business. Without IT/IS, there wouldn't be an e-bay. So, just what does it mean to "keep in alignment" then? It seems that the application of IT/IS won't guarantee success.. at the same time, we have to realize, that this is separated from the "concept" of IT/IS. One can make a business on the "concept", but the tools themselves are completely separate, and so, must be regarded as simply that. Tools. By themselves, they are not viable to be a basis for a business. But if you're able to communicate the benefits that people can get from using the technology, and it appeals to them, then, it is something to look into.

All I have to say is that I am extremely jealous. I mean, school is stressful here as well. I've got reports and presentations flying in left and right (the travails of being a Comm student) and everyday is just as hectic as the next.

Love life is also just as stressful. (Karl Antz, I have some stuff to share pa--- the very reason why I want to go drinking)

But do I get to go skydiving? NOOOOO!!!!

There are 3 extreme things I've always wanted to do: white-water rafting, skydiving and bundi, i mean bungee jumping. Haven't done any of the 3 yet. Haaay...

hey guys! long time no post :) just wanted to say... "SKYDIVING IS AWESOME!!!!" went tandem skydiving kanina, this morning.. jumped from 9,500 feet.. had a 30 second freefall, then parachute all the way down. ^_^ Though, yeah, this is the one with an instructor strapped to your back.. hopefully next time I can go solo.. even if it's a 6 hour onground training period first.. so that'll probably be after exams.
the sensation is nothing like I've ever gone through before.. unless you dream of falling. then it's something like that :)

p.s. why'd I do it? hehehe yes.. school's THAT stressful ;)

here's something I got in an email.. (pay particular attention to point 11):

Bundi! Rotaract's a civic organization as you said.. They have these volunteer programs and works to help out society.. like those charity activities and all. It's an international thing.. so I think it basically works the same way here too.

I just found out that smallville has been releasing new episodes ulit.. they had the longest downtime after "skinwalkers".. but now there're 3 new episodes.. missed them on tv nga eh.. will have to download them when I have the time. I noticed that I'm starting to get more active in stuff this semester.. maybe it's just the idea/hope that 2003 will be a good year ^_^ they just started a rotaract club here at my school.. only 7 members so far, and we're trying to look for projects to increase our exposure.. if things go well, I can have them help out with this other club I joined (an entrepreneurial club) with our upcoming auction project.. why don't you text maki for his email address?

Karl Antz: Yep! I still want all the Smallville episodes. Nakakainis- I tried to download the pilot episode over Kazaa. It took me around 2 weeks since I'd just open Kazaa whenever I used the computer. Anyways, what happened was that the file was an .avi file instead of .mpeg... so I still can't watch!
